I've been studying it, living it for about six years now. I still have a lot to learn, but it's something that I enjoy a lot. I've been a photo editor for two different newspapers. It wasn't highly enjoyable in either instance, but it was no fault of the staff (in fact, my former high school journalism people taught me a lot and I appreciate it very much). Just not my thing. I go everywhere with my SLR. I love Richard Avedon and Henri Cartier-Bresson. Things I'm working on: less inhibition behind the lens, portraiture, and flash photography.

2. Reading
I love literature. I love words, written ideas. Ask me to explain something in verbal form, and I stumble. But with a pen, I've got the upper hand. Why? I'm convinced that the more you read, the more likely you are to emulate what you experience. So, I read the classics above all else. It's given me a slightly archaic writing style, but it's also practically built me into a science-writing machine with a penchant for flowery verse. I have a lot of favorite books, but this is the one I'd recommend you read before you die.
READ IT.
3. Music.
While I completely lack technical music knowledge, I appreciate the hell out of it. It would take too long for me to list the sounds that I like, but they're generally some type of folk, blues, or jazz. Pianos, violins, and brass.
Presumably before the crack.
4. Movies.
My two favorites? Amelie and Dr. Strangelove, and don't you dare make me choose.

Perfectly constructed shot. The Seventh Seal.
5. Laziness and Sleep
The reason that I'll finish this blog post later, mannn.
